Activity - A9 UNHCR material

Karya Primary School, Greece:
Nea Karya Primary School collaborated with the SHO of its region in order the students to participate in “Passages”, a role playing game developed by UNHCR in 1995 designed to put participants through the experience of being a refugee fleeing war or persecution. Members of SHO designated as game leaders and organized the game that it took place in the school. Students and teachers were subdivided in “families”. Each of these “families” played game modules putting themselves through all aspects of being a refugee (fleeing a country, crossing borders, claiming asylum).
